Out & Out Program

Fully Funded Support Initiative From Behind The Curtain

The Out and Out Program is a Fully Funded Support initiative created by Behind The Curtain to help individuals within the LGBTQ+ community, particularly gay men, navigate the emotional and social challenges they face. Our program focuses on holistic well being, personal growth, and post traumatic recovery, with a focus on supporting those impacted by rejection, discrimination, and past trauma.

The Out and Out program is designed to provide a safe, inclusive, and confidential space for individuals to rebuild their self-worth, address personal challenges, and heal from the effects of societal pressures, toxic relationships, and harmful experiences. Whether it's the difficulty of coming out, struggles with self acceptance, or the aftermath of harmful online interactions, we offer the support needed to help individuals regain control of their mental health and build a positive future.

Before my session with Ross, I honestly didn't know what to expect. I was unsure if it would be coaching or counselling and I felt a bit anxious.
But once I arrived, I realised it was a space to just be myself. I left feeling lighter and more at peace.

Sam - Darlington

I felt a mix of excitement and nervousness before meeting Ross. I wasn't sure if I would get the guidance I needed but I quickly discovered that it was a safe space for exploration. The most useful part was feeling heard and validated in my experiences. Thank you.

John - Durham

Ive been to a couple of sessions now with Ross, I always love how homely and calm it is. It's like a chance to forget everything going on in my life and just focusing on the time there.
Total peace and calm. I am working towards coming along to the group sessions in time. Going to see Ross is like a recharge of my battery. I would definitely recommend booking a session. Thank you Ross for being you, its encourages me to be more me!

Michael - Durham

Walking into my first session, I had no idea what to expect. I worried that I wouldn't know how to express my feelings. Its an environment where I felt free to express myself. I found it useful to have someone listen without judgment, thank you Ross!

Dan - Sunderland

Before meeting Ross, I felt apprehensive about what the session would entail. I wasn't sure if it would be more structured or informal. To my surprise, it was just the right balance, and I left feeling lighter, as if a weight had been lifted off my shoulders.
